St James the Great

Dominating the eastern approach to the town centre and build adjacent to the ancient town wall the historic importance of St. James the Great is very significant.

The Parish of St. James and St. Paul Colchester is an Anglo Catholic parish served by the Church of St. James the Great, located in the East Hill Colchester.

The Parish has two clergymen Fr. Peter Walker SSC who is the Rector assisted by Fr. Taemin Oh. Both of them live nearby and often one or other of them can be found on the premises or at the St. James' Primary School on Guildford Road.
