The Religious Society of Friends (The Quakers)
Located near to the Mercury Theatre and the famous Jumbo water tower, The Religious Society of Friends is one of the oldest non-conformist congregations in Colchester.
Within their present buildings is a room named to remember James Parnell, a nineteen year old preacher who died for his faith in Colchester Castle prison on 4 May 1655.
The web site for The Religious Society of Friends at Colchester can be found at Colchester Quakers
